"To read a book comfortably inside the house without any electrical lighting in the evening" was the client's statement of requirement and so did we responded with a house devoid of darkness. Puntures in the roof and angular walls to reflect light and direct breeze were instrumental in acheiving the desired conditions inside the house. The split open interior space adds volume to the interior with a view towards a well on the western side.
